For those pilots who have flown floats the Calypso will be found to be one of the best handling in their experience.

Flight characteristics are little changed with only a 10 mph reduction in cruise speed noted. Take off at gross weight from glassy water takes just 12 to 13 seconds.

The amphibious Puddlejumper floats add just 130 lbs to the weight of the aircraft and provide exceptional water handling performance without significant reduction in flight performance.

These fiberglass floats feature retracting main gear and a steerable, telescoping nosewheel. Retraction and deployment are easily performed in flight using a lever inside the cockpit.

What more could you ask to get in and out of those isolated fishing holes or just commute to the cottage on the lake and back to the airfield near home or work.
